Welcome to Hartz Kills

July 23, 2008 at 8:59 pm 6 comments

The purpose of this site is to raise awareness of the dangers of Hartz, Sergeant’s, Adams, Bio Spot, Zodiac, Scratchex, and Sentry flea and tick products. When it is complete, Hartz Kills will be a definitive source of information about the above-named flea and tick treatments, including statistics and figures obtained from the EPA via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This site will also provide downloadable materials to make it easy for victims and other concerned animal lovers to spread awareness in their own communities.

Please feel free to wander around, but keep in mind that this site is in its infancy!

In it’s “infancy”? Hah! Whatever state you use to address this site, it is welcome. Congratulations for your work and the wonderful information you have imparted, even at this early stage.

Thank you for visiting the Poodles and me and for putting up this site. I have boycotted Hartz for many years after a friend lost her little dog to one of their flea products. They told her it was her fault because the dog was old and small and she didn’t use the product correctly. The directions were unclear. I will never buy anything from a company that is that insensitive.

Thanks for this site! I came across it a while ago and refuse to use Hartz products because of what I’ve learned! I’m showing this to my husband as he had wanted to use Hartz on our puppy. I am trying to convince him to use Shoo!tags, instead!

Today is the 09 of July 2012 and it could very well have been the last day of LIFE for my little fur family kittie kat !! Without realizing,I put Hartz flea medication on her and within minutes she started acting different. I went on line and read about this”Damdable Hartz” company and was totally sick myself once I realized what I did to a pet that had put total trust in me to protect her. My soul I know how the rest of you felt when it happened to you and your pet. I can’t even imagine how it would feel to have my pet die at the hands of this “Scandulous HARTZ COMPANY”. I sit here awaiting a return call from my attorney and I want to know what can be done to prevent this from happening to poor unsuspecting pet lovers. I thank God I had the good sense to go on line and find all these comments and with instructions which I followed, I used mild soap and lots of water to wash it off. Within a couple hours my Kittie Kat (name Dazel) began to be more like herself. I swear in the name of everything holy , they have NOT heard the last of this. KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE BY USING THE VET !!

Tractor Supply sells Hartz too…and only Hartz…I buy my Taste of the Wild pet food there, but flea meds from the vet.
